....or was there an episode where Gary meets Phoebe as an old lady in the 90's?? , I'm absolutely certain I saw it back then on TV but I can't find it anywhere in the DVD's I've got, admittedly I've only got up to season five so maybe it's further down, anyone know??.

You're probably thinking of the ending to "Have You Ever Seen A Dream Walking" (Series 5, Episode 8). Gary goes on vacation and dreams that he sees himself and Phoebe as an elderly couple.

Aha, could well be, as I recall it though Gary went to an address where she was at present date, I'll go and see if I can find that one you mention anyway and let you know, thanks .

Ah, the episode you're referring to (the one where he goes to an actual address) is from Series 1, Episode 5 (I Get Along Without You Very Well), where Gary hears a news reporter quote a comment from "80 year old Phoebe Sparrow". This leads Gary to look her up in the phone book and go to the address, where it turns out to be a different Phoebe Sparrow. Either way, it'll be one of the two aforementioned episodes

Both great episodes! I liked it whenever Gary was put in the pickle of the two worlds colliding!

I like this thread.

Are there not two seperate episodes, one featuring the dream sequence, and one where he doorsteps a Caribbean lady who has the same name? Perhaps this is the same episode. Apologies if so..it's been a while!

It was after hearing phoebes name on the radio news. As said, it wasn't her though.
I do think Gary was looking through the phone book for 'F Sparrow' You'd think he could spell her name.

Looking out of the rain splashed window, I sigh, and as the water beads trickle down, I think, FFS.

Did your hear about the Dyslexic philosopher, who sat up all night, wondering if there really was a dog.
