This is something we've mentioned before, but it would be great to get round to doing it. Could be difficult to organise as we seem to be dotted around the world and there would be some cost involved for most of us. Thought i'd test the water initially, see what sort of reaction it gets over coming weeks and hopefully we can plan something for a few months down the line, perhaps with help from the fella who ran the Duckett's Passage site. I've long wanted to visit Ezra Street and would quite like to have a pint in the Royal Oak, though obviously the show only used its exterior.
Would anyone be interested?

Well, according to Marks and Gran, who I sent an email to, they did use inside the Royal Oak to film the interior shots, but after a while the owners/landlord got too greedy,so they moved the interior filming to Twickenham studios.

This is interesting info, rayb, thanks. I haven't visited the pub, but have seen photos. It looked very different to the pub in the early series of GS. Do we know if it has had some sort of refurb since? I imagine it's quite possible given the time passed since. Looks very much like a gastropub now, and it's in a very fashionable part of London.

I really want to take a trip to the east end and see the filming locations and having a drink in the Royal Oak would be the icing on the cake! Might have to be my little treat to myself for my 21st birthday this year!
