I do have nice memories of this program. Perhaps it's something to do with the fact I'd watch it with my dad when I was younger. More so the fact it's based around wartime and I love that aspect. If I could I'd have loved to see where I grew up throughout the war, just imagine being able to get that glimpse into the way the world worked at that time.
Uk gold - a tv channel here in the uk starting showing GS just recently, I missed the very first episode it was able to start recording at the second episode.
Good thing is that I don't remember lots of parts to this and I may even have missed some of the latter series.
Now I've always had a soft spot for this show and Nicholas Lyndhurst was a great choice of actor, my wife cannot stand this show die to the fact Gary has two ladies at the same time although not exactly! But I had never seen it in a bad way or at least I didn't focus my attention to that. I was more fascinated by the war time travelling.
Anyway I'm glad to be able to record and watch these, I've actually asked for the dvd set for my birthday! I do often think of life back during the war and this program is great at recreating that world. I often look for wartime pictures of my favourite places.
