Hi everyone
I would just like to ask for your opinions on this theory. Have you ever watched goodnight sweetheart and noticed how many times the 1960's is mentioned? Example: Gary argues with Mrs Bloss, Gary and Ron look into Mrs Bloss's Past, Gary and Ron find out Mrs Bloss's Husband had a brother, who died in 1963. ... Series 4 episode 3, Gary's dad puts in an appearance and while chatting in a pub, Gary's dad explains how "he" in the1960's was odd-jobbing" and while looking for a customers house, walked down an alley-way and suddenly finds himself in the Victorian age.
making Goodnight Sweetheart ONLY the SECOND PART to TWO part story? similar to only fools and horses and rock and chips now?
Please post your comments and thoughts on this, there seems to be a lot of potential. Nicholas Lyndhurst playing the part of his father, "making the present the 1960's and the past - the Victorian age

I'd love this to happen! I really would. That being said I doubt that it will. There are a number of reasons for this, but primarily because I doubt that the writers, and Nick would want to be accused of copying John Sullivan's idea of a prequel. Those accusations would come, and would probably be valid.

I see how that could cause John Sullivan fans and supporters upset. But surely its better to carry on a legacy left by someone than to never finish the legacy? (providing correctly and attention to detail to that the original writer intended.) ?
